Thanks, Amy. He was out with the horses, chasing rabbits, and something just sort of let go in his head. It was pretty fast, really, and of all the ways I might have lost him, this was as tolerable as any I could imagine.
I needed to see that picture... He was your boy as much as he ever was mine. I'm just glad he had a full and happy life...What I would have given to listen to him "sing" to supertramps one more time though.
Dear Mac, This comment is quite late, but I only peruse your blog occassionally. This picture of the Pippen Dog brought back tons of memories. From him being a flea infested pup (who promptly rec'd his first bath, fresh upon his arrival from the front of the Haggen store), to his sitting on TOP of our cars, yours included...to his decision to be your dog instead of Jessi's. Your jeep offered more road trips and WAY more hamburgers than anything we had. Thanks for giving him such a great life, I'm forever in your debt with regards to Pippen the Dog who sang to "Take the Long Way Home" by Supertramp. Dar

(((Mac))) I'm so sorry.

oh my! Didn't I meet Pippin with you in Oakland? *sniffle* He was a very good dog. My condolences.
I am so sorry for your loss, Mac *hugs*
Mac,
Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is tough.
Scott
Ugh. I know how much you adored him. He's lucky he had you--you gave him a good life.
He looks like an honest and good soul.
What a sweet, gentle soul Pippin is, Mac.
I'm sorry he's gone. Very.
((((Mac))))
Our beloved mutts. They stay for too short a time. Many condolences, Mac.
*hugs* and condolences, Mac.a
Sorry Mac dear. I love how dogs remind us how to be kids again. Because every dog, however old, is a puppy at heart.

Oh, and if I remember correctly, we got him as a small puppy in 1996. :) Thank you for giving him a good life, too.
I know I send condolences over at AW, but he looks so sweet in that picture. I'll bet he was a good dog. Not like that pizza thievin' mutt o' mine.
I'm sorry again for your loss.
I'm so sorry, Mac. I lost a pet recently, too. I feel your pain. Dogs are so awesome, and yours looks like a sweetie.
Sorry for your loss, Mac.
I was just blog hopping and came across your site and wanted to stop in and say hi.
I know this is more than just a bit late, but seeing the picture of your dog just warms my heart. I've never met Pippin but I already miss him.
