I'd planned to write a long letter tonight...

But here I am blogging, instead. Funny how the time gets away. It's already nearly morning again.

I've already written rather a lot tonight; I'm finding that the more words I'm putting down regularly, the more readily they come. At this point I can feel the words all crowding and pushing and wanting to rush out onto my screen, and I'm actually having to hold them back, a bit. Don't ask...just be grateful. Heh. A little less sleep and I'd be spilling words all over with little or no editorial control.

I'm not one for resolutions. Reflection, though...yes. This last year brought more change to my life, thinking, and writing than I could have believed possible. Good changes. I keep pausing to see if I should feel frightened or overwhelmed, and I just don't.

I've always been a fairly sunshiny person, and long subscribed to the belief that cynicism is bad mental hygiene. This the first New Year in a very long time, though, that I find myself looking forward to eagerly.

Welcome to 2007. It's going to be so damn much fun.

I'm happy for you, Mac. I know you've got incredible stuff just over the horizon and it's in your grasp *G*

Are you accusing me of bad mental hygiene?
Could be.
But I doubt it. ;)

"The more you write, the more you write..." I've got to keep chanting that to myself. I'm feeling like I don't write enough to make anything worth writing. But if I'd just write more, etc., etc., etc., ....

I'm happy for you too.

But dangit, I wish you'd sleep more.

Why don't you give the Pacific Northwest city in which you live? Who exactly are you? Is M. Stone even your real name?

It's a very cowardly thing to anonymous post slanderous and libelous material about people, particularly when you yourself can stand under a sheen of anonymity. Though I appreciate and respect Jenna Glatzer for what she was trying to do - build a watchdog site to keep track of predators in publishing - it's become something far beyond that - you are some hidden vampire out there in cyberspace who is like a raptor who attacks any newcomer to this very capitalistic game. Where Glatzer was a writer, journalist and informer, you are a hidden predator who defends some hidden agendas of an elite set; where Glatzer was a writer and a teacher, you are nothing more than a prison guard - some nafarious beast who is an imposter, a fraud. Where Glatzer had some idealistic view keep an industry pure that she obviously respects and loves, you are a cowardly viper not willing to give a true identity, a true persona. You are nothing more than a cyber ghost who attacks anything that stands in the way of Old Guard NYC.

Umm...yes. I can appreciate that someone who is the very embodiment of transparency and standing by one's own words with one's own name such as yourself must be terribly disappointed...

Altogether now, can we say "irony"?

Anonymous, I don't see much substance in your posts. Do you have some irregular interest in Jenna? Should we warn her? If you're a good man you'd 'fess up.
