That will keep the hired gardner away.

I wonder if I tried that if it would keep my landlord away? When I owned my own home I had someone come to mow but I did all the gardening. Yes, Dawno, that required 3 snerks, minimum. Get your butt out there and do it yourself!!! w/o the twinklies, otherwise you'll radiate the poor things you're trying to grow. It's great for relieving stress. Really is. If it isn't familiar it's a weed. If it is familiar it needs to be pruned within a nanometer of it's life. Grass should be soaked twice a day whether or not we've gotten six feet of rain. The lovely vines that cover the ugly fence need to be removed each spring so we can enjoy the brown wood all summer long. *sigh*ohdawnohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01995493308490806364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260692.post-1141496327593970582006-03-04T10:18:00.000-08:002006-03-04T10:18:00.000-08:00I love my containers, Mac. Only problem is, trying to hide them from the deer!

I do my best to disguise my salad food among my flowers. Fooling deer isn't easy.

Ah, the smell of jasmine-stop it! The tropical plants the rest of the country spends big money on, grow wild in my yard, so I don't plant a lot of flowers.

I plan to plant a vegetable garden - onions, garlic, tomatoes, beans, peas... I don't care so much about whether I get a good crop. It's the joy of working my hands into the soil.Mark Pettushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14650234232914657192noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260692.post-1141492371707157382006-03-04T09:12:00.000-08:002006-03-04T09:12:00.000-08:00Ah--containers are so much fun, though, JM--I keep...Ah--containers are so much fun, though, JM--I keep a jasmine in a huge terra cotta pot, upstairs on the deck. The whole deck smells incredible and dreamy on warm summer evenings.

Also, it's easier to keep the thing alive through the winter, that way.Machttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01846076773328384778noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7260692.post-1141491654630388792006-03-04T09:00:00.000-08:002006-03-04T09:00:00.000-08:00Absolutely gorgeous, Mac!But, here, my eyelids are...Absolutely gorgeous, Mac!

But, here, my eyelids are cold...not spring. Yet.

I adore gardening, it's my thing. Dirt is my friend.

Since I rent, I do container, mostly. Some bulbs. They came up for a bit, snow, they turned around and went right back under. Smart bulbs. Don't know what will happen now.
